POETRY, POLITICS, AND PURPOSE

For me, a political office
you chose not to elect.
Still my patriotic duty,
I can not neglect.

Pointing out all of
the lies, games and political follies
is how I am now
destined to get my jollies.

Now everyone will see
clearly the signs of the time
EXPOSED, hopefully quite
cleverly in a cute little rhyme.

PLAYING THE NUMBERS

Champion of cheap,
Judy tries to portray
but when it comes to getting a raise
she'll find a way.

Too much work
for too little pay,
not for long if
friends have their way.

More property taxes
may lead to a revolt
and cuts in sernices
too much of a jolt.

Gone are the nuts from
her political bolt,
no longer will Judy's
salary remain on holdt.

VICTORY DOES SUIT YOU WELL

It's good to be the Mayor
one more time again
thanks to a lawsuit with many a layer
even when you lose you win.

With Danny boy at your side,
all the lawyers become winners
and taxpayers will be taken for a ride.
while the ole boys are painted as sinners.

MERRY CHOMPS-MAS

A special parade this time of year
Santa's sliegh pulled by CHOMPS
instead of eight tiny reindeer.

Down the chimney and
into a home plate, no hits
no runs, that'll have to wait.

Tis the season for balls of snow
not bats and baseballs but
come this June away well go..

Maybe not now, but definitely later
get down to Fraser to cheer
on your favorite NAV-I-GATOR!

DUCK TRAVESTY?

You have a right to whatever you say.
Guarantees of that are the American way.

One thing else is abundantly clear.
No one can force me to hear.

Decisions not made at a target,
Instead only casualties of free market.

ENLIST IN LIFE

A hero indeed
visited the students of Breed.

Just a brother in arms,
lesson to avoid unecessary harms.

The most valuable attitude
to be shown is gratitude.

WHO'S BEEN WORKING ON THE RAILROAD?

Riding the rail to detail
the fact plans to connect North
to South have come to no avail.

Many a commuter has found
in Boston it's not easy to
go around. Not fiscally sound!

Something all know,
time for Republicans and Democrats
to show princeple over party and make this project a go.

NEW NEWS AND OLD VIEWS

Now that the election is past,
how much longer will the economic optimism last?

The election she did win it,
but now one of her "accomplishments" needs a new tenant.

Her results don't look so extraordinary
since there will be no program of cu;inary.

Apparently NSCC ran into a financing storm,
broken promies have become the norm.

WINTERCROSS

Once again here we go.
Down from the sky falls the snow.

Navigation be dicy.
Streets and sidewalks be icey.

Let's be perfectly clear.
No doubt winter is here

There's a parking ban have no fear.
To insure our roads be clear.

Snow plowed to the corners so high
Use of crosswalks to deny.

YESTERDAY'S TOMORROW

Memories of travels gone by,
across the bridge of Belden Bly.

Maybe never to discover
the existence of another manhole cover

History can often reveal
what the ordinary does conceal.

Lessons from the past
provide knowlege that will last.

MAGNA CHARTER

The public schools answer to education stagnation
are new institutions of innovation.

Public schools cry and begin to holler
private schools turned public just to drain a dollar.

'We can do all that CHARTER SCHOOLS can",
we'll just call ours a HORACE MANN.

SHOW US YOUR SNOW JOB

Down came the snow
Out came the plow
Salt and sand they did sprinke

Five new trucks were bought to add a new wrinkle.
The results  are up for debate now
On the way it really did go!

RECOUNTS AND RHYMES, JUST A SIGN OF THE TIMES

Seens like everyone neglected
to get me elected

so I'll just have to make do
speaking rhymes that ring true.

To the politicans now I'm out of reach
but to the people I get to teach

Looks like I'll be running loose,
trying to keep my neck out of the noose

After I'm done showing you how,
who will be sorry now?

MEEING IN THE MIDDLE

The xchools are running out of room,
fear of eventual doom,

What we need is more technologyin our schools
but instead we elect the same ole fools
\
that think one new building will address
the solution to our mess,

SNOW 911

No parking on the street
so the plows you don't impede
or a ticket on your windshield you will greet.
Put the vehicle in a driveway or a lot for your good deed

SOMETHING FOR THE SEASON

Santa comes now in a parade.
A convertible packed
with all the toys
the elve made.

No longer down
the chimney he
does come nor
from a Pole but a town

Once you sit on his lap,
you fall prey to
what amounts to a
modern commercial trap

THE NAME GAME

Bring that casino to Revere,
we could use the jobs right here!

On other's losses, we will win
Come on now, this is Lynn

As  quickly as the turn of a card,
the choice between money and morals ain't really that hard

For the sake of a dime,
we'll take an increase in crime.

WHAT PRICE TOO HIGH?

In order to bring together in unity
a garden was planted in a community.

Payments for plots now to be
part of the HIGHLAND reality.

Price becomes a condition
of a misguided ambition.

Price and cost are a different situation,
progress, another victim of tradition.
