COMING AROUND

Because the mayor was resolute,
many chose her to persecute.

Suddenly in the ITEM today,
the editors of opinion, see it her way.

For tracks to become trails,
the current plan fails.

Without liability protection, this idea offers
a real chance to drain the city coffers.

LEGAL AT WHAT COST?

ICE, ICE baby,
Feds want no maybe.

Sheriff to enforce the sin
of living illegal in Lynn.

Failure to report,
then now we will deport.

Our city population will go down.
Many services not to be found.

TAKING US FOR A RIDE

Bike to the Sea?
JFK says, "Not me!"

Because of the risk'
it's a chance we can't afford.

If something's wrong, who will pay?
"Don't look at us!", says the MBTA.

EBAY'S THE WAY

Sold to the one who pays the most,
 the only to play fair.
All bidding out in open air,
to on-line auctions, let's raise a toast!

No hints of back room deals,
more money from sales to keep
our taxes low, no need to weep.
Maybe another website showing the city seal.

RIDE OF REVERE

One if by land,
Two if by sea.
From Lynn to Boston
Hope for a new way to be.

Buses, trains, and
boats makes three.
Lots of people to carry,
To work or play on the proposed ferry.

Speak up, have your say
To make sure, they send it our way.

PRIMARY HAS BEEN

The results are in.
Did your candidate win?
Wipe off that grin.
In a few weeks, we do it again.

Our Council Garden

Vote your voice.
A chance tomorrow
to make your choice
and reduce your sorrow.

Stay at home if you dare,
lose your opportunity to say
that you really care
about governing the American way.

If to not vote is what you choose,
then once again Lynn will lose.
Fresh faces are what we need,
our council we must weed.

AT STAKE FOR AT-LARGE

Ten will go down to
eight after election day.
Incumbents are traditionally who
always know what to say

to get re-elected every year
but the census has changed
and the time is growing near
when the balance will be rearranged.

Minorities seek equitable representation
in order to reflect a more diverse
state of our ever growing nation.
To not change is to go in reverse.

ANNNOUNCING MY NEWEST BLOG

For city council, I will not run
but to run the council
with my rhynmes of reason still
would be fun.
