ONCE BITEN, TWICE WHAT?

Houses can be destroyed
By the ravenous bite
Of a small low-flying.
insect called a termite.

Or on rare occasions
An airborne car
On it's way home,
Perhaps from a bar.

When it happens for a
Second time it might behove
A serious consideration of
A relocation or move.

THROWING THE BOOK

Bullies used to slap your face
And could be stopped with the use of mace.

Times have changed and its plain to see
And many worry who your friends might be.

Concern about teachers has raised much commotion
By politicians with questionable devotion.

The real issue has now become clear,
students are the ones student's need to fear.

POLITICAL LANDSCAPE

It has been said that votes
don't always equal signs
but with the new census,
these are different times.

Flowers often sprout
in many a yard
from primary to general
candidates campaign hard.

Support, the people
do proudly show.
Now to the polls,
if only they will go.

FINDING A PLACE

No Parking Commission, how could that be?
Does that mean we'll park for free?

To eliminate this department, they'll use Home Rule
As a legislative tool.

All because the public was quite ired
Over big raises, people need to be fired?

Now a hearing there will be,
To see what we can see.

HEALTH CARE SCARE

The time has come to make everyone aware
Of the skyrocketing cost of Health Care.

Politicians often debate,
But too high remains the rate.

Equal justice is the attraction.
Healthy bodies give satisfaction.

Many social problems will disappear,
When just to live, we need to fear.

PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE

A knife in school.
Exception, not the rule.

At least that's what they say.
But at the end of the day.

It all starts in the beginning.
That's the origin of the sinning.

NO MORE SUIT TO WEAR

The judge side with the board
not listening to the angry hoard.

Some citizens of Lynn took it hard
but for victory, they did not hold the card.

For dismissal Salem did root,
say good-bye to the suit.

How long before the dozers start moving rocks?
Lynn loses, here comes BIG BOX.

POLICY POLITICS

School buildings to use?
Stories meant to confuse.

Who goes first,
that's the worst.

Worries about a policy to buy,
all about a price too high.

When it comes to who gets to play,
the real worry is who gets to say.

THE GANG THING

Kids into gangs.
Gangs into kids.
Our best hope hangs
On strong family bids.

Alone with nothing to do
A recipe for trouble to come through.
The answer is not hard as it may seem.
A small job is needed to build self-esteem.

BANKING ON AMERICANS

Up go the fees,
the fat cats to please.

While home values do sink,
the poor know not what to think.

Economic slavery is surely a sin,
but there's more of us than there are of them.
